How HVAC Rebates Work
Rebates are offered by your electric utility provider. They are not instant discounts from TMC Heating and Cooling. After your system is installed and the application is approved, the utility sends the rebate directly to you.
MID HVAC Rebates

Rebate amount 450 to 700 depending on efficiency

TID Rebates
RESIDENTIAL HEATING & COOLING REBATE- HIGH EFFICIENCY CENTRAL A/C $500
Requirements:
New unit must meet minimum SEER ratings:
Packaged - 15 SEER or higher
Split System - 15 SEER2 or higher
Rebate for replacing existing home A/C or adding new unit.
Cooling capacity <65,000 BTUs (5.4 ton).
Split system requires matching evaporative coil.
Split systems using water/evaporative cooled condensers may be
eligible provided the air conditioning system has a current (not archived)
AHRI reference number and efficiency rating.
Rooftop installs must be code compliant for inspection access.
Limitations:
Limit (2) per household, per useful life (23 years).
Additional Supporting Documents Required:
Current AHRI Certificate of Product Ratings.
CENTRAL HEAT PUMP $1,000
Requirements:

Maximum 5 ton.
Limit (4) rebates per household during useful life (23 years).

Lodi Air Source Heat Pump Rebate
Offered to Lodi Electric Utility residential customers for purchase and installation of a new qualifying Air Source Heat Pump (includes ductless mini-splits).
This application should be submitted within six (6) months of the purchase or installation date.
Rebate available for existing homes only; new construction is not eligible.
Rebates are limited to 50% of the project’s total cost.
Rebate: $200 per ton
Efficiency requirements
Split or Unitary/Package Ducted Systems
Minimum 16.0 SEER, 12.8 EER, and 9.0 HSPF (equivalent to 15.2 SEER2, 12.2 EER2, and 7.7 HSPF2)*
Mini/Multi-Split Ductless Systems
Minimum 16.0 SEER and 9.2 HSPF (equivalent to 15.2 SEER2 and 7.8 HSPF2)*
Pre-condition: Prior to new ductless heat pump’s installation, existing home must have electric resistance zonal heat or a standard ductless heat pump to qualify for the rebate.
- All replacement equipment must be new and certified by the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). Equipment tonnage is calculated using the cooling capacity listed on the AHRI certificate. Divide cooling capacity by 12,000 (1 ton = 12,000 Btuh), the result is not rounded. Example: AHRI cooling capacity 34,500/12,000 = 2.87-ton unit.
Rebates are paid by check.
Lodi Whole House Fan Rebate
Offered to Lodi Electric Utility residential customers for purchase and installation of a new, qualified Whole-House Fan.
This application should be submitted within six (6) months of the purchase or installation date.
Rebates are limited to 50% of the project’s total cost.
Rebate: $300
Rebates are paid by check.
Conditions
- This rebate is available for existing single-family homes only; manufactured homes and new construction do not qualify.
- The home must have central air conditioning or heat pump without a whole-house fan or other automated fresh air sources.
- New garage whole-house fans and attic fans are not eligible for rebates.
- Your final invoice/receipt is required to submit this application.
